Production and export of goods such as machine-made carpets, despite the economic constraints, is one of the important axes that can increase employment and currency appreciation by assessing the needs of the target market. Although according to the available data, the country's machine-made carpet, including in the production chain, is facing shortcomings, but statistics show that despite all the problems, this industry has a good share of exports. In an interview with Engineer Hamid Saber, CEO of Arad Carpet, we have examined the existing problems in the machine-made carpet industry and the ways out of it, the details of which seem to be dear readers. Would you please explain how to establish Arad Carpet? Due to the fact that my father was active in the production of machine-made carpets, I became very interested in this industry from an early age, and based on this, I completed my studies in industrial engineering with the aim of further understanding and expanding this industry, and at the same time I learned different parts of carpet production such as yarn production, carpet design and also a complete knowledge of textile machinery in practice and theory. In addition, my grandfather was also active in the field of processing and production of natural silk and selling it in Iran and exporting his product. With a density of 1000, he started to produce carpets with Iranian designs and patterns. Subsequently, with the updating of knitting machines and machines, the production of 700-shoulder carpets with a density of 2500 began and new carpets were introduced to the market. Finally, after continuous activities, in 1396, with the help of each other, we opened the Arad carpet factory and the production of 1500-shoulder carpets with a density of 4500 was on the agenda. What is the most important feature of your product that distinguishes it from other car carpets? We have always tried to produce carpets with a variety of classic and modern designs with the latest designs of the day. All designs of Arad carpets are proprietary and we can safely say that our products do not have a similar model in the market. On the other hand, the use of a unique color palette is another feature of Arad carpets, which makes us different from other brands. I have tried not to feel any shortage in terms of quality of carpets, yarns and textures, in addition to specializing Arad products, because a quality product is always more stable in the market. What was the reason for Arad's letter? Arad in Persian means adorned, adorned, gentle and generous and so far we have tried to have a worthy character and behavior with customers, employees and also in the production of our products and within the meanings of Arad and in addition, the original name Use Iranians to preserve our identity. What development plans do you follow in order to improve your activity? In long-term planning, we have tried to expand the range of Arad carpets, but fortunately at the beginning of the year we achieved the desired result by adding one product, and at the frequent request of customers, another product will be added to the Arad carpets collection by the end of this year. We were able to increase the variety of products more than before and increase the field of job creation. On the other hand, according to the plans made last year, our products have jumped, so that with the addition of new products that are 500-shoulder carpets with a modern design and pattern, it was met with an unparalleled response from customers. It is noteworthy that currently about 80% of Arad carpet products are used in the domestic market and we are expanding and granting representation to other cities in Iran and so far we have 19 active representations in the country. What problems do you face in your field of activity? Our most important problem in the current situation is the reduction of the purchasing power of different sections of society. In addition, with the increase in the price of raw materials, the cost of carpets has risen, which has added to our problems. In this volatile market, a safe purchase is not an easy task. Considering that we are one of the first manufacturers of 1500-shoulder machine-made carpets in the world, we have had a good performance in the field of exporting and importing foreign currency into the country, but unfortunately we have been struggling with various problems for some time. Adopt existing problems. What were the conditions of Arad carpet production during the Corona epidemic? Fortunately, with the help of our dear friends and customers, as well as with the production of new products during the Corona epidemic, we have maintained our market share and so far we have kept our sales almost constant from the very moment before the corona outbreak. We hope to see the eradication of this disease soon in order to create new working conditions for ourselves as well as new job opportunities for our compatriots. What is your assessment of the Tehran Carpet Exhibition? Given that this year's machine-made carpet exhibition was held with a two-year respite, it had good feedback and people were warm and enthusiastic, but in terms of planning and timing of the exhibition, there were weaknesses compared to previous years, which we hope Future years, more accurate planning and scheduling of the exhibition.
